Daniel Xu is the CEO and Co-founder of ElementX, an Auckland-based AI engineering consultancy specialising in helping organisations with complex data and security requirements adopt AI safely at scale. With a PhD in Bioengineering and a First Class Honours degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Auckland, Daniel has a strong foundation in both research and practical application.

Daniel's work has led to multiple licensed patents and international recognition, including features on global media platforms such as the BBC. He was instrumental in the creation of UVLens, a product that has helped over a million people worldwide manage their UV exposure and prevent skin cancer.

Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Daniel advises numerous companies on AI strategy and roadmap development. His leadership at ElementX focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and responsible AI solutions that unlock business value. Daniel is passionate about making AI accessible and safe for organisations navigating complex digital environments, aiming to drive positive, long-term transformation through technology.
